Today’s brides and grooms all desire white outfits for their church ceremonies. However, I have been reading the Bible, and I have yet to come across a spot where wedding or other ceremony solemnizing the union of two people took place in a Church. I suppose the marriage Christ attended and which the Bible mentions was a traditional wedding.
Holy marriage is the term used to describe being married. At first look, there would not appear to be much of a difference between the terms “holy matrimony” and “marriage.” But a closer look at the term “holy matrimony” highlights how important it is for two individuals to become one in God’s eyes (One man and one woman coming together).
People tend to shout it from the rooftops during the wedding season. During the wedding season, if you’re in your twenties or thirties, you might attend at least one ceremony every weekend. Some will be semi-formal, others will be casual, and there is always the chance of dress codes. What dress codes apply to wedding guests? How can we survive without using up all of our savings?
