Ohimai Atafo is a businessman and a fashion designer. He is the founder and creative director of the fashion label Mai Atafo, which specializes in custom men’s suits and traditional attire, as well as its sister brand Weddings by Mai Atafo, which focuses on wedding and evening gowns.
Despite being a fashion expert, Mai Atafo’s sense of style is a reflection of his genuine gentility. He has his hands in a few other non-fashion jars as well, making him the stereotypical man who inspires the younger generation and is adored by both men and women.
He held positions in marketing research, sales and distribution, innovation, projects, and brand management with British American Tobacco and Guinness Nigeria Plc. He left those positions as senior brand manager for Guinness Foreign Extra Stout to pursue a career in fashion, where he is unquestionably the best dressed man on the continent. Prior to accepting the position of leadership in the Advisory Council, he worked as the Strategy Director for the advertising agency The Fire House for a year, the Fashion Editor for Genevieve Magazine.
To name a few, he has worked with businesses like as Baileys, Chivas, Amstel Malta, Samsung, Intel, HP, Etisalat, Fayrouz, Heineken, Lux, and Ebonylife as an ambassador, spokesperson, judge, or influencer.
The company is known for its precise attention to detail and flawless cuts and fits. Arise Magazine Fashion Week, Lagos Fashion and Design Week, Glitz African Fashion Week Ghana, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Africa, and the J Spring Fashion Show Paris are just a few of the shows where they have appeared.
If there was any term that could adequately express the pride we feel as we write about Mai Atafo’s incredible creativity, we would gladly use it.
